2025 Sectional Place:No Team-Class C

Projected Lineup: none

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: No runners last year so they will have to focus on rebuilding.

 Ichabod Crane Riders   

2025 Sectional Place: 2nd place-Class C

Projected Lineup: Joseph Stead-Sr., Healen Knudsen-Sr., Brooklyn Nabozny-Sr., Jacob Goodrich-8th., Aven Cardinal-Jr., Zak Kathawala-So., Hector Quintana-Sr.

Key Losses: Felix Thiess-Helden, Theodore Thiess-Helden, Leif Cardinal-Schmitt

Team Outlook: Loae top two runners from last year and three out of six. Stead moves into the top position and was in the mid 17's last year, Knudsen is their number two and was in the hig  17's. Nabozny is their third runner and was in the low 18 minute range, Goodrich should be their fourth and Cardinal look yo be their fourth and fifth and were in the high 18 to low 19 minute range. Will battle it out with LaSalle for the league title but will need to between their third runner to their fourth and fifth. Will need to balso reak up LaSalle's top two.

Lansingburgh Knights

2025 Sectional Place: 8th place-Class B

Projected Lineup: Liam Trolio-So., Jace Lewis-So., Bradley O'Dell-So., Brigham Rescott-8th., David Coonradt-Ernest-Sr., Riley Vandervoort-So.

Key Losses: Javier Cruz

Team Outlook: Lose their fourth runner from last year but return everyone else. Trolio returns as their top runner and was just under 19 minutes last year with Lewis only five seconds behind him. O'Dell should be their thirs and was over a minute behind in the mod 20's. Rescott and Coonradt-Ernest should fill up their top five and were both in the mid 21 minute range. Younf team as five out of their six returning runners are sophomores or younger but need to close the gaps between their second and third and the third to their fourth and fifth to imrpove in the league standings.

LaSalle Cadets   

2025 Sectional Place: 5th place-Class B

Projected Lineup: Ebisa Gayl-Sr., Woody Castle-Sr., Holden McLean-So., Jackson Glaski-Jr., Hudson Treacy-Sr., Keane Degener-Sr., Tyler Bownau-Sr.

Key Losses: Braeden Hourigan

Team Outlook: Only lose their fifth runner from last year. Gaul and Castle return as their top two runners. Both were in low 17;s last return and are the top two returning times in the league.McLean is their number three and was in the high 17's with Glaski in as their fourth and was a minute behing in the high 18 minute range. Treacy is their fifth right now and was in the mid 20's. Will battle it out with Ichabod Crane for the team title. but need to have their fifth runner close the gap to their fourth to hold them off as Ichabod Crane has the better depth.

Mohonasen Mighty Warriors

2025 Sectional place: 11th place-Class B

Projected Lineup: .William Rollins-So., Logan Hood-Jr., Gregory Healy-Sr., Riley DeWolf-Jr., Camden Cruden-So., Zachary McMullen-Jr., Jason VanVranken-Jr.

Key Losses: Raymond Kinzie, Daniel Abbott

Team Outlook: Lose their top two but return everyone else. Rollins and Hood come in as thei top tow returning times with both in the mid 21's. Healy comes in as their third runner adn was just under 22 minutes. DeWolff and Ceuden are their fourth and fifth and were both in the mid 22 minute range. With no runner under 21 minutes returning this year they will need to focus on rebuilding.

Ravena Ravens

2025 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Lineup: Owen Bailey-So., Austin Coyne-So.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook:Return the only two runners they had from last year.Bailey was in the mid 22's ans Coyne was about thirty seconds back so they will need to focus on rebuilding this year.

Schalmont Sabres

2025 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Lineup: Jack Hughes-Jr., Angelo Vaccaro-Jr., Aaron Levin-Sr., Lincoln Bullock-So., Kevin Rajwant-So.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Only had five runners last year but should return them all. Hughes returns as their top runner and was in the mid 19's last year. Vaccaro is their second and was just under 21 minutes. Levin comes in as their third and was in the mid 21 minute range with the rest of the team over 23 minutes. Need to see big imrpovements from their fourth and fifth runners if they want to move upin the league but they'll need to rebuild this year,

Troy Flying Horses

2025 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class A

Projected Lineup: Miles Perkin-Sr., Rowan Heckman-Sr.

Key Losses: Louis McColley, Lee Snyden, Aldo Meltz

Team Outlook: Only return two runners from the five runners from last year. Perkins comes in as their top runner and was just over 19 minutes last year, Heckman is their second returning runner and was in the mid 20's. Team needs to rebuild and fill up the team before focusing on the league standings.

Voorheesville Blackbirds

2025 Sectional Place: 3rgth place-Class C

Projected Lineup: Carter Ward-Fr., Jake Molloy-Dr., Hayden Heckler-Jr., Eillison Hawking-So., Finn Rufa-So., Desmond Soriano-So.

Key Losses: Mason Curl

Team Outlook: Return everyone but their number one but it's a big number one as Curl was the league champion last year. Ward steps into the top spot running in the mid 17's last year. Molloy is their number two, running a little less than a minute behind in the mid 18's. Big drop off and Heckler is their number three three and was in the low 20's. Hawking and Rufa round out their top five and were almost two minutes behind in the low 22 minute range. Very young team as theur top two runners are freshman and five out of six are sophmores or younger but have a couple of big gaps that need to close up if they want to move up in the league.

Top Returnees: Emilia Torres-So., Robin Basile-Fr.

Key Losses: Ava Vautrin

Team Outlook: Return two out of three runners they had last year. Torres is their top returning runner and was in the low 27's last year with Basile about ninty seconds behind. Team will have to focus on rebuilding this year.

Holy Names

2025 Sectional Place: 12th place-Class C

Top Returnees: Maeve Joyce-Jr., Ana Guerra-Jr., Ava Fredericks-So., Keira Shaughnessy-8th., Capri Bloomfield-Fr., Samantha Weaver-So., Hope McQueen-So.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Return everyone from last year. Jouce returns as their number one. She is the defending league champion and state runner-up running in the low 18's last year. Big gap after Joyce with Guerra their number two over three minutes behind in the mid 21's. Fredericks is another two minutes back in and high 23's with Shyghnessy and Bloomfield finishing their top five with both in the low to mid 24 minute range. Need to close up those two gaps to move up in the league.

Ichabod Crane Riders   

2025 Sectional Place: 3rd place-Class C

Top Returnees: Julia Dwelley-So., Olivia Allard-So., Emilie Goodrich-Jr., Madelyn Thomas-Sr., Brooke Ryan-So., Grace Hoff-Jr., Lily Stevens-So.

Key Losses: Maisha Perez, Lilia Pitts

Team Outlook: Lose two out of their top three but return everyone else from last year. Dwelley moves up to the top position and was in the mid 21's last year. Allard is thei number two and was about a minute back in the mid 22's. Goodrich is their third runner and is about another minute back in the mid 23's and Thomas their fourth in the mid 24's. A bunch of sixty second gaps that need to close up if they want to move up in the league.

Lansingburgh Knights

2025 Sectional Place: 7th place-Class B

Top Returnees: Ellie Marie Riston-Fr., Katrina Sheppie-Fr., Samara May Thompson-So., Keira Sheppie-So., Addyson White-Fr.

Key Losses: Adriana Sheppie, Kiara House1,5

Team Outlook: Return five out of seven from last year. Riston and Katrina Shepps should be their top two returniners with both in the mid 24's last year, Thompson should be their number three and was just over 25 minutes. Keira Sheppie and White completes their top five with both in the mid 26 minute range. Young team as all five are sophomores and younger but will need to see some big improvements to move up in the leaguel.

LaSalle Cadets   

2025 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class D

Projected Lineup: Kelsey Mooney-Sr., McKenna Terry-Jr., Haley Clark-Jr., Evelyn Grogan-Jr.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Only had four runners last year but should return them all. Mooney returns as the top runner and was just over 21 minutes last year. Terry is their second runner and was in the mid 22's. Big dropp off after that as both runners are over 26 minutes. Eventhough they have four returning runners I didn't include tham as complete since they were incomplete last year. Solid top two but need imrprovements from the rest of the team to move up if they're complete.

Mohonasen Mighty Warriors

2025 Sectional place: 6th place-Class B

Top Returnees: Natalie Kurick-Sr., Maryellen Moslander-Fr., Madelyn Swint-So., Olivia Ray-Jr., Skylwew Boudreau-Jr., Kendall Doroski-So., Alexis Fera-So.

Key Losses: Catie Bink2

Team Outlook: Lose their number two from last year but return everyone else. Kurick returns as their top runner and  was in the low 22's last year. Moslander and Swint come in as their second and third runners and were in the high 22's. Ray and Boudreau should be their fourth and fif th and were about a minute back in the high 23 minute range. Need to close the gap between the third runner to their fourth and fif th to imrpove in the league.

Ravena Ravens

2025 Sectional Place: 8th place-Class C

Top Returnees: Piper Weddell-Sr., Melody Mapes-8th., Kaitlyn Gardner-So., Kaliyona Taber-Jr., Stella Weddell-So., Hailey Doherty-Jr., Amina Vincent-Jr.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Return everyone from last year. Weddell is their top runner and was in the mid 20's last year. Mapes should be their number two and was in the mid 21's. Gardner comes in as their third runner and was more than a minute back in the mid 24's.  Rest of the team are over 25 minutes and will need to close the gap.  Had some runners on modified last year that could crack the top five and help them out.

Schalmont Sabres

2025 Sectional Place: 6th place-Class B

Top Returnees: Scarlett Gregg-So., Abigail LeRoy-Jr., Kaitlyn Villano-Jr., Addison D'Ortona-Jr., Haley Smeaton-Jr., Hannah Lansing-Jr., Gianvana Rossetti-Jr.

Key Losses: Gabby Lansing 2

Team Outlook: Return six out of seven from last year, only losing only their second runner. Gregg returns as their top runner and was in the mid 21's last year. LeRoy should be their number two and was in the mid 22's. Villano and D'Ortona are their third and fourth runners, both in the mid 23 inute range with Smeaton completing the top five in just under 24 minutes. Solid top five but will have atough time against Voorheesville but will see the gap between their first runner and the rest of the team to close to hold off Mohonasen and Holy Names for second.

Troy Flying Horses

2025 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class A

Projected lineup: Lillian Perkins-So., Briana Armstron-Sr.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Only had two runners last year but should return both. Perkins is their top runner and was in the high 23's last year. Armstrong is their other returning runner and was in the mid 28's. Team is looking to rebuild this year.

Voorheesville Blackbirds

2025 Sectional Place:1st place-Class C

Top Returnees: Avery Grant-Jr., Savannah Schmidt-Jr., Shayla Hyman-So., Salma Sayahi-Fr., Alice Viscio-So., Grace Coffey-So., Eliott Lodovice-So.

Key Losses: Alannah McCartgy, Mary Genovesi 5,7

Team Outlook: Return their top four from last year and five out of seven.  Grant returns as their top runner running in the hihj 17's last year. She has the top returning time in the league but missed the end of the season, possibly an injury? Schmidt is their number two and in the mid 18's. Hyman and Sayahi are their third and fourth with both in the mid 19 minute range. Big drop off as Viscio comes in as thei fith and is more than three minutes behind. Clear favorite to repeat as league champions but need a huge improvemnt in the fifth runner to chsllenge for a state title.
