2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Varsity: Minhtri Dinh-Jr.

Key Losses:  none

Team Outlook: Return their only runner from last year, junior Minhtri Dinh who ran in the mid 20 minute range last year returns this year. Team needs to focus on filling up their team this year.

Catskill Cats   

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Varsity: Noah Kubicek-So., Raven Lynch-So

Key Losses: Nathan Riordan, Griffin Fisher

Team Outlook: Lose thier top two from the four runners they had last year. Both runners were estimated to run over 24 minutes last year so the team will need to focus this year on getting their numbers back up.

Chatham Panthers    

2021 Sectional Place: 3rd place-Class D

Projected Varsity: Timmy Jeralds-Sr., Jason Baneni-So., Ian Freiermuth-Sr., Max Friedman-So

Key Losses: Brycen Haner, Tobias Jeralds, Daniel Baneni

Team Outlook: Hit hard by graduation, losing three out of their top four from last year and only returning four. Senior Timmy Jeralds is a solid number one as he was in the mid 17 minute range last year and is one of the top returning runners in the league. Big drop off after Jeralds with sophomore Jason Baneni returning as their number two and was in the low 20 minute range last year. Their third and fourth runners were both over 21 minutes last year. Hopefully they can pick up some new runners to fill up the squad, I have given them the benefit of the doubt for now. They can move up in the league if can get a couple of runners that can crack their top five.

Coxsackie-Athens Indians    

2021 Sectional Place: 9th place-Class C

Projected Varsity: Aiden Smedsted-Sr., Anthony Braden-Sr., Nick Van Housen-Sr., Ronin Raush-Jr., Edmund Chan-Jr., Isaac Parde-Jr., Matthew Kunz-Jr., Josh Enriquez-Sr., Jacob Allen-Sr., Ryan Ulscht-Sr.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Everyone returns from last year. Seniors Nick VanHousen, Aidan Smedsted, and Anthony Braden were all in the low to mid 18 minute range last year and give the team some solid upfront running. Junior Ronin Raush should be their number four and was a little over a minute behind in the mid 19's. Rest of the team were all over 20 minutes and will look to close those gaps to improve the team depth. They have the most returning runners in the league so they have the bodies to do it and challenge Greenville for the league title.

Germantown Clippers    

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Varsity: none

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: No runners last year. Will need to rebuild.

Greenville Spartans    

2021 Sectional Place: 8th place-Class C

Projected Varsity: Finn Kosich-Sr., Thomas Baumann-Sr., Nick Barnes-Sr., Sam VanAuken-Sr., Kaleb Pettit-Jr., Kanyon Beeraka-Kolnacki-Fr., Michael Semaska-So., Trevor Flensted-Fr., Jack Dawson-Fr., Alex Cotter-Fr., Anthony Zhang-So.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Return everyone from last year and should challenge for the league title this year. Senior Finn Kosich returns as their number one and is one of the top runners in the league, running in the mid 17 minute range last year. Senior Nick Barnes is their second best returning runner and was in the mid 18 minute range last year. Senior Thomas Baumann and junior Kaleb Pettit should be their third and fourth runners this year as they were in the low to mid 19's last year. Other two returning runners were both over 20 minutes and will need improvements there if they want to put some space between them and Coxsackie-Athens for the league title. Addition of a bunch of freshmen this year could give them the runners they need to strengthen their back end.

Hawthorne Valley    

2021 Sectional Place: 14th place-Class D

Projected Varsity: Oliver Towe-So., Hugo Crane-So., Idris Evans-So., Amir Evans-So.

Key Losses: Gaetano Hamilton

Team Outlook: Return four of the five runners last year so I give them the benefit of the doubt that they'll be complete this year. Sophomore Oliver Towe returns as their top runner and was in the mid 18 minute range last year. Rest of the returning team were all over 23 minutes last year so they will need to see some big improvements if they want to move up in the league this year.

Hudson Bluehawks

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Varsity: none

Key Losses: Taylor Riley

Team Outlook:  Only had one runner last year and he graduated. Will have to focus on getting numbers out for the team this year to build the program back up.

Hunter Tannersville Wildcats

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class D (Section 4)

Projected Varsity: Garrett Legg-Sr., Lyden Smith-Jr.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Only two runners last year but they both return. With only two runners they will need to work on getting runners on the team to compete.

Loudonville Christian

2021 Sectional Place: did not run-Class D

Projected Varsity: Drew Owens-Fr.

Key Losses:  Ethan Orsing

Team Outlook: Last year was the first year for a team and had two runners and return one of them. Freshman Drew Owens returns as their only runner and was in the mid 21's. It takes time to build a program and hopefully last year was the first step to a full team in a year or two (it took me four at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons.)

Maple Hill Wildcats   

2021 Sectional Place: 5th place-Class D

Projected Varsity: Zachary Civerolo-Jr., Kaedan Leonidas-So., Avery Wilson-Leedy-Sr., Anthony Basile-Jr.

Key Losses: Lukas McIntosh, Christopher Bulan  

Team Outlook: Return four of their six runners from last year. Junior Zachary Civerolo returns as their top runner and was in the low 18 minute range last year. Sophomore Kaeden Leonidas, Senior Avery Wilson-Leedy, and junior Anthony Basile are the rest of the four returning and were all in the low to mid 19 minute range. They have a solid top four returning  and could challenge for the league title if they can fill up the team with a couple of solid runners. Had some numbers in modified and one or two from there could make a difference this year.

Rensselaer/Doane Stuart Thunder Rams    

2021 Sectional Place: 13th place-Class C

Projected Varsity: Ryan Slingerland-Sr., Malachi Spickerman-Sr., Seth Krause-Jr., George Krause-Fr., Connor Hill-So., Greg Davies-Jr., Marcus Richardson-Jr.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Return everyone from last year. Seniors Ryan Slingerland and Malachi Spickerman should lead the team as they were both in the mid to high 19 minute range last year. Rest of team were all over 21 minutes and will need to improve those times if the team wants to move up in the league.

Taconic Hills Titans

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete- Class C

Projected Varsity: Eli Russo-Jr.

Key Losses: Tyler Burfield, Zac Wessel

Team Outlook: Had three runners and only return one but that one is a good one. Junior Eli Russo was just over 17 minutes and returns with the best time in the league. Team needs to rebuild around him and hopefully have a full team for him to run with.

Watervliet Cannoneers

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Varsity: none

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: No runners last year. Will need to rebuild.

Windham-Ashland-Jewett Warriors

Team Outlook: Only have two runners returning with projected times over 25 minutes. They will need to focus on bringing in some new runners to build the team up.

Chatham Panthers

Projected Varsity: Ella Uhlar-Fr., Kendall Hayes-So.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Only had two runners last year but should return both of them. Freshman Ella Uhlar is their top returning runner and was just under 22 minutes last year. She is also a league pre-season top 5 runner. Team will need to focus on getting their number up to fill the team to complete in the league.

Coxsackie-Athens Indians    

2021 Sectional Place: 6th place-Class C

Projected Varsity: Grace Bartels-Sr., Claire Hubert-Fr., Ellie McCarthy-Jr., Coral Vizzie-So., Ella Hubert-Jr., Kasey Purdy-So., Sylvia Mattraw-Johnson-Sr., Natalie Rogers-8th, Natalie Hinrichsen-Jr.

Key Losses: Ava Hubert

Team Outlook: Defending league champions lose their number two runner from last year but return everyone else. Grace Bartels returns as their number one runner and is the defending league champion. Callie Hubert moves up to the number two spot and was right at 21 minutes last year. Junior Ellie McCarthy should be their number three but was almost two minutes behind Hubert so they will need to cut that gap to put some distance on Maple Hill. With some new runners they can do it because it should be a tight battle between the two teams.

Germantown Clippers    

2021 Sectional Place:no team-Class D

Projected Varsity: none

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: No runners last year. Will need to rebuild.

Greenville Spartans    

2021 Sectional Place: 11th place-Class C

Projected Varsity: Emily Smith-Jr., Anna Styer-Jr., Jill Aloisi-Sr., Mikaela Crowley-Jr., Evelyn Corcoran-Fr., Acadia MacDonald-Jr., Priscilla Cummings-Fr.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Return everyone and also add some new runners which should give them more depth. Junior Emily Smith returns as their top runner and was in the high 22 minute range last year. Junioe Anna Styer returns as their number two runner and was just behind Smith in the low 23's. Senior Jull Alosi is their number three runner and was just under 24 minutes last year. They will need to close that gap to their number two runner and hopefully some help from their new runners to help out their depth. Still might have a tough time moving into the top two but the depth should help them.

Hawthorne Valley

Team Outlook: No runners last year. Will need to rebuild.

Hudson Bluehawks

Team Outlook: Only had one runner but she did not come back this year. Will have to focus on getting numbers out for the team this year to build the program back up.

Team Outlook: Only had one runner last year but have brought in a bunch of new runners this year. Tough to tell how they will perform without any previous times but Coach Pelletier is excitedfto see what they can do in the first year of cross country.

Maple Hill Wildcats    

2021 Sectional Place: 3rd place-Class D

Projected Varsity: Angelina Pusateri-Sr., Olivia Eaton-So., Gillian Gellatt-Fr., Leah McIntosh-So., Kate Ackermand-Jr., Sophia Breunig-So.

Key Losses:  Isabelle Ridgeway

Team Outlook:  Return their top five from last year and should challenge Coxsackie-Athens for the team title this year. Senior Angelina Pusateri returns as their top runner. She was in the mod 20 minute range last year and returns with the top time in the league though Grace Bartels beat her at the league championships last year. Sophomore Olivia Waton should be their number two and was in the low 22 minute range last year. Freshman Gillian Gellatt is their humber three and was in the high 22's. Fourth and fifth runners were in the mid to high 23 minute range last year and they will want to see their back end close the gap to their top three if they want to beat out Coxsackie-Athens for the team title. Should be a close one.
