Note: It was much tougher to project this year. Usually I just use Saratoga State Park times but this year it was tough to use Queensbury times because quite a few runner didn't run at Queensbury and then there was another batch of runners that ran Queensbury but ran it over a month ago at the Queensbury Invy. I made a few adjustments here and there, but remember, this is just a projection, I could be way off this year..

Girls Class A - 2:00pm

Saratoga is solid for their 14th straight sectional title. Shenendehowa is the favorite for the runner-up position based on their 3rd place finish at Suburbans. Colonie, Bethlehem, Shaker, and Guilderland could all jump in there for the runner-up spot with solid races.

Individually it looks like a two person race with Samantha Vetter of Saratoga Springs and Shaker's Maryanna Lansing.  Vetter is the slight favorite based on her win at Suburbans last week. Saratoga's Estela Smith and Peyton Engborg could also win with good races.

Girls Class B - 2:30pm

A very close race and very tough to project.  Burnt Hills hasn't run the Queensbury course and Queensbury hasn't run the Saratoga course so it's very tough to compare. Defending champ, Holy Names, were slow coming out of the gates this season but has stepped it up the last couple weeks with their run at Colonial's last week and their run at the Albany County Meet. Burnt Hills has the slight edge based on their depth but Queensbury is running on their home course which give them a big advantage.

Same as the team race, it's very tough to project. I mostly used speed ratings but used Saratoga and Queensbury times too. Kaylee Scott is the favorite of Queensbury's Megan Kellogg and Emily Guinther are running on their home course. There will also be a big fight for the top five state spots as anyone in the top 20 could legitimately qualify.

1. Kaylee Scott Holy Names 1. Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 45
2. Megan Kellogg Queensbury 2. Queensbury 55

Girls Class C - 1:00pm

Unlike last year when it was a close three team race, this year is more clear cut as Broadalbin-Perth has been the big favorite all season. A much improved Schalmont team and defending champions, Schuylerville will fight it out for the runner-up spot.

Individually it looks like a two person race with Schuylerville's Ashley Watson and Schalmont's Julia Flower. Both have been running solid the last couple of weeks. I give Watson the slight nod based on her runner-up finish last year but it should be close.

1. Ashley Watson Schuylerville 1. Broadalbin-Perth 38

Girls Class D - 1:30pm

Greenwich is a big favorite to win their 10th straight sectional title. Looks to be a three way race for the runner-up spot with Berin, Maple Hills, and Berne-Knox-Westerlo all in the hunt.

Individually, Greenwich's Sarah Lapham and Tori Spezio look to be the favorites. Maple Hill's Monica Strain could jump in there with a good race.
